Unreal Revision Controller revealing full name

Summary

Hi Epic, ive got an issue on UEFN when I create new projects it is revealing my full name when checking in changes to Unreal Revision Control, I first noticed this issue in the previous release 36.30 it is still happening on the current release 37.00, I’ve also asked a few other people if they have this issue and they said its completely fine for them.

I can provide a screenshot if needed in private

Where are you seeing this? I checked UEFN’s Snapshot History and it only shows my Epic Display Name

Same for the URC Command Line Interface

Yeah in my snapshot history it says my real name instead of my username when i create new projects, im also unable to find the project on urc command line, it just says it can’t find the project directory

Also whenever im checking in changes it doesnt go 1 → 2 its just a random number

Your project is utilizing urc2 not the original urc

Projects using new urc need to use “urc2”

The team has mitigated the original issue. This means that now, it is only possible for the actual name to be seen by the logged-in user themselves. We have a fix coming in a future update, ensuring the user will always see their most up-to-date user name.

Thank you so much for reporting this!

@Liimiitz as a follow up to @Flak’s post, we managed to ship a secondary fix. Once you close and reopen the editor you too should now see your display name as expected.
