Unreal only runs with auto-hide Windows taskbar off

So I just got a new computer specifically for gaming, pretty good specs. I’ve been using UE4 on my laptop for a project and had no issues with it. However, on this new computer, it works for a solid 10 minutes, I got my project open, then froze and eventually froze my computer. I hard restart my PC, tried again, this time it froze immediately after the project opened. I tried multiple times, tried making a new project to test, tried the gaming and the studio drivers for NVIDIA, and the only thing that can make it work is if I turn ‘automatically hide the taskbar in desktop mode’ off in my Windows settings. I never had this issue on my laptop and I have no idea what is going on. I’m glad I can make something work, but it’s annoying to have to go and change that setting any time I would want to use Unreal.
Anybody have a solution to this?
