Unreal for rendering iClone animations?

I’m just dipping my toes into Unreal now, I use iClone 7 and their Character Creator to make FBX characters, I also model a bit in Blender.

Unreal is great for the quality of the video renders, and the Nvidia Gameworks stuff, wave works is a big part of what I am looking to use.

So, my question is, where do I start? I have no interest in ever making a game, so just learning what is needed to import and render, create sets, do the lighting and effects. Am I biting off more than one man can chew, or is Unreal a good fit for a one man animation team?
