Unreal Foliage turns into atlas texture

Hello all,

I am trying to make a large landscape for my short film, I am having an issue where 3D plants that I got from Quixles library are turning into their atlas textures. They look perfectly fine when I am far away but as I get closer, they lower in quality.

I have tried to resolve this problem by going into the static mesh options and changing the LOD picker to 0 yet even after saving reverts to the auto select. This problem only occurs when I use the foliage paint tool but if I place them individually it is fine.

Any suggestions on how I can fix this as I need to cover a large area and I don’t want to place them all manually. Haha
