Unreal Engine ( Thank you )

I am still a noob, been learning Unreal Engine for almost 2 months from here and I know all of these assets are from FAB but it feels great that I am able to make this. I just wanted to share my early work and if you are noob like me, keep pushing. Thanks @3dRaven for always doing your best to answer my question. I cannot wait to see where I will be in 1 year.

Hi there @GeekManGames,

Hope you’re well and having a wonderful week so far

What a stunning environment. It feels almost like you’ve stumbled upon a magic site while out exploring the woods. The lighting especially just blew me away. The purple hue lighting up the tree was just breathtaking  Really well made.

Do you currently have plans to make more scenes like this?

Keep Going and Never Quit. 10 Years Strong for me. THANK YOU EPIC GAMES!

@PresumptivePanda @TechLord thank you so much for your support. My study has been little bit overwhelming to be honest. If you got any tricks on how I can tackle my walls to study new things then I am all ears. I am currently learning from here and I am stuck in blueprint scripting and I am having very difficult time understanding not because of mentors but because of my knowledge in computer is very low.

It feels like I am simply doing copy/paste of what I am learning rather than understanding why I am doing this. Does why even matter to a beginner like me in this field ?? What did you do when you were just starting out ?? Do these questions even matter if I am just doing copy/paste ?? I truly want to learn and work full time for a company that cares about making cool games and eventually my dream is to make my own games and earn living and I also want to make a lot of money for someone special.

@TechLord 10 years strong sounds really cool man. I cannot wait to get there.

I self-study Youtube Tutorials and UnrealEngine Docs. UE is Large, Powerful and keeps evolving, thus, learning is continuous. Keep experimenting and testing, everyday for as much as you can. Take breaks, when you need too.

I come to UE with intention to build various Multiplayer Games, Game Assets, and Tools and sell them through my own company. My studies are driven by this goal. I specifically learned Multiplayer Blueprints and started developing multiplayer constructions systems.

I acquire most of my media content from FAB and have no shame in doing so. Lots of things you can do to preexisting assets to make them look different. AND I rather use subsystems that save me tons of time.

Hello @GeekManGames !

I’m glad to see that you’re staying strong and making good progress. New programs can be scary, but your determination is what will ultimately push you through. I agree with what Panda and TechLord say. While learning and pushing yourself to grow, taking care of yourself is important.

Already with the few months you’ve practiced, I can see that you will make some amazing things! Keep up the amazing work and feel free to tag me in any future project!

@The_M0ss_Man thank you for this. I needed that and I really appreciate it and yes I will make sure to tag you in my future project. I recently made this routine for learning. Let me know what you think and thank you. Have a nice day.

Player simply have to find all the fireplace to complete this game. I gave myself only 2 hour limit to finish this project without looking up anywhere online. I ran out of time before I could add sounds for this project :joy: @The_M0ss_Man @TechLord @PresumptivePanda @3dRaven
If you don’t want me to tag you in my future projects, please let me know and thanks.

Hi @geekmangame. I have a Challenge for You and its going to change your life. haha.

This one may take a day or two.

Create a simple Chat App, that supports CRUD private group channels. That’s not the challenge. Hehe. The challenge: Display Messages spatially in 3D Text.

Hey again @GeekManGames,

Thanks for tagging me, always glad to see an update! Maybe with your next challenge you’ll get well passed the audio stage :joy: It turned out great for just a couple of hours of work. Can’t wait to see what you do next!

@TechLord here’s the 3D text you’ve asked for and this was my first time doing it and yes I am the leader of a CRUD PvP Club  You were shooting in the dark but you got me :joy:

@PresumptivePanda I’ve added some audio and hope it’s to your liking.

The audio definitely brought it all together  Just needs a boss fight with rock music blasting to get that true old school vibe. :joy:

Awesome. Not fair for me to give you challenge and dont accept one from you. haha. Give me a challenge.

@TechLord since you are experienced, I am going to give you tough challenge and you will have to teach me in details how you did it in the video but no rush in finishing it. Take your time since this might take some time.

Third Person Game Challenge - I want you to create a castle with interactive door with 4 exit. Player can either use magic or sword. Player is a prisoner and has to fight 4 guards to collect 4 keys which is used to escape the prison.

Wow. That’s one heck of challenge. A mini Game. The hard part is teaching you the details. Theres a reason why I don’t make tutorials LOL.

@TechLord You asked for a challenge and I gave you one. You can decline it or you can do it.

Finally, I made my first game. Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay. This is beginning of my coming adventures. I cannot wait to see what kind of amazing cool games I will make in coming years. Thank you Unreal Engine. @TechLord @PresumptivePanda @The_M0ss_Man @3dRaven

Here’s the ZIP file download link to play this game!![Escape The Prison - Google Drive]

Hello again @GeekManGames !

Thank you for tagging me in all your posts! It’s nice to see your progress grow. After playing around with the game, I’m really intrigued in your level design. I know it’s very basic at the moment, but I feel like your solutions for puzzles could grow with your other skills from here which is exciting.

There’s a great amount of creative power here, and with your fantastic learning schedule that you shared I’m excited to see what you come up with next!
