Hello. I’ve been struggling to find an answer to this and was hoping someone could help.
The problem is that the lighting in my project looks different then the lighting in the tutorial I’m following. (I’m following the bad decisions studio tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L9qixi858Ag&list=PLIn-yd4vnXbjWeYqU7epakdnVzoysMToy&pp=0gcJCWMEOCosWNin)
A few things i noticed where different with the lighting in tutorial where:
1 . The light does not fill up the room.
2 . The shadows are really dark.
3 . The indirect lighting intensity does not seem to have any effect at all no matter how high I set it.
Ηere are a few photos.
In the first the light does not go above the rect light which appears to happen in the tutorial
Here the shadows are very black. and how I see it, not really catching any light from the indirect lighting around it.
Here I put the light against a cube, the indirect lighting seems to reflect but then stops.
I’m working in unreal engine 5.4.4. later i found out they were working in 5.3.2 but when i changed it the same problem applied.
I’m pretty new to this and would appreciate any help or advice:)
