Met the issue importing huge skeletal mesh with morph targets (~1.5GB) - Unreal just crashes when I save the asset. Though it doesn’t happen on 5.1 and 5.4.
The workarounds I’ve found:
- import it to 5.1 and migrate asset to 5.3
- reduce amount of mesh targets in the skeletal mesh (in my case it was possible to split skeletal mesh in 2 and then they would load fine)

On 5.4 it seems to be resolved (atleast for this particular file but not sure if it’s solved in general).
