There seems to be some encoding bug with saving files. We’ve tested this on about 5 computers now. There are 3 computers that can read all .uasset files regardless of who saved them last, and there are 2 computers that can’t open .uasset files that was last saved by one of the 3 other computers. This is only an issue with the 4.19 preview, not 4.18 or 4.17 when we previously worked with those engine versions.
It might have something to do with the fact that the set of 3 computers have Norwegian language operating systems, whereas the two others have English. Which would make sense if the encoding is not done using the same charsets, as Norwegian operating systems can read English charsets just fine, but English operating systems can have trouble reading Norwegian charsets.
At the very least, it’s probably an issue with how .uasset files are encoded in the current 4.19 preview.
The 9800GT only supports shader model 4.0, so that error message seems appropriate in your case.
You should probably wait until you have a graphics card that supports shader model 5. ^^
With the latest 4.19 I’m experiencing continuous stutter in a VR project that runs fine in 4.18 (HTC VIVE). Within the same project I created a new map with just a light and two cubes and the stutter was still present. This is noticeable only when moving or rotating my head.
Also the project uses the Leap Motion plugin and in the map where I use it, the hand tracking has some issues where the hand meshes sometimes get stuck in mid air or stop appearing.

Hello! I’m using 4.19 preview to do some test with Steam Audio. now in preview 6 i can finally create probes to calculate occluion, reverbs…etc… and it works! so then i try to pack everything for mobile ETC1 but i “loose” all the sound features when playing it in my mobile (the sound plays without any Steam Audio calculation).
Is anyone testing it? maybe i’m doing something wrong
