Glass not grass.

Meh, grass already looks ballin’. Just take a look at the Open World demo’s assets… I would rather see… BSP 2.0!

You will see that only at Marketplace, ProBuilder port from Unity…

The Roadmap tells a different story  .com/c/8H5WBc4m

Oh that is interesting, good to know!
However there are things there that is super upvoted, but not exactly implemented though.

Is this is likely to make it into 4.11: .com/c/MgSUwrym/320-morphtarget-gpu-blending

[=the card linked above]
Right now morph targets are applied on the CPU, which is slow. This can be done on the GPU which would be much faster.

Thanks

not sure if this has been answered before but when are they expecting to fully release sequencer?

It’s in pretty good shape at the master branch nowadays, so my guess would be 4.12.

BC7/BC6H Texture compression support is [thread=104795]broken[/thread]. Please fix it for 4.11!

so when are you guys going to make it possible for companies to share/combine people on epic launcher to more efficiently share content when there only a small team of 2-5 people who live all over the world?
not a pipeline but a connection of accounts into a single ‘company’ level account, with proper business and other business identification numbers that are necessary…

this would make things better and easier for it would help you Epic keep track of for profit and non-profit companies… this would shorten the time necessary for companies to setup a license agreement with Epic in regards to the usage and sales of games built with the UE4 engine going forward.
this would also make it possible for small companies to be able to collaborate for efficiently in getting work on a given project finished faster and ready for integration and publishing.

with this it would also be much easier for you Epic to build in a pipeline service for small companies that might not be able to afford full server services since servers usually cost several thousands into the tens of thousands of dollars… you could rent virtual server space with a information pipeline built into the Epic Launcher and these virtual server spaces, everyone gets things done quicker and more efficiently and gets paid quicker or at least you Epic will get your money quicker.
(this could also facilitate buying the current engine for a company to change and make their own)

I use digital ocean servers for 20 bucks and month for my Perforce. Can easily share content with others, so I’m not sure I understand what you are getting at… I see your in your post, not trolling, just asking.

to try and put it simply, time and finances are key in regards to a new business specially in the gaming industry as a whole.

my and my partners situation is rather unique, since he started working on a project before i ever started the business (other things as well, mostly that i am disabled)…
he has a little money to work with and has purchased items on the epic store, i on the other hand get about 200 bucks a month to work with in regards to everything else.

that being the case i really (personally) cannot afford to rent a server monthly myself, however if epic made it possible to join accounts since we do have an actual company, then it would be easier to have access to each others purchases on the epic store as well as creating a possible p2p pipeline of sorts or at least allow for a integrated pipeline that can be subscribed to… this would give a variable virtual space to set the final product of the collaboration on a given project between me and my partner, this would also keep private information private while allowing my partner to rent that space.

also not has the time to find a service that works for their particular situation, this will help facilitate quicker development as well as release of product… this also allows companies to quickly pay epic whatever fees they have setup for the sale of the game that uses epics engine, the licensing details are a little fuzzy on that point in regards to a few things but that isnt the point.

hell epic even has the resources to partner other companies that rent servers or space on them for the same or similar reasons, this way its easier/ quicker/ more cost effective/ and more lucrative to involved.
the sales platform is already setup, they do not even have to do that much work to implement something like this (except for partnering other companies for server space etc.).

the point isnt just cost, but efficiency as well as having things setup for small companies that do not already have all the logistical things in place that are necessary.

I see what you are saying…(I think). You want Epic to make it easier for collaboration with different people. That makes sense… BUT, at 20 bucks a month and easy to install perforce tutorials, I’m not sure that they feel its necessary. I know Unity is coming out with their collaboration tool… Maybe this is something Epic will do.

For smaller project I even use $5 per month program (digitalocean) and it is absolutly ok.

That’s true… I really do not need a duel core and the additional memory, but the storage space is nice…

How’s UE-19959? The pin is completely useless if the timing is incorrect.

How much longer you think until 4.11 is released? Im dieing to get my hands on some of the demo characters so i can try to pick it apart to get mine looking that good.

Has the issue with GPU particle spawnrate&lifetime been addressed where it is/was perfectly possible to alt-tab out of Unreal, go drink coffee,
watch a movie, come back rushing ‘oh ****, my emitter is still on!’ and find the moment you tab back into the engine,
it goes completely fubar and basically spins off into oblivion?

I want to get information about hair shader in UE4 preview. Is there any guide? the Paragon Video is not enough :frowning: Please help me! i would appreciate you.

4.11pre7 doesn’t seem to save project. If I create blank project, do some changes to the scene, plugins, save map, quit Editor, restart and load project I just created, a blank template scene will be loaded instead of my map. Not only that, but whatever I tweaked in Plugin will be reverted to defaults.

Has anyone had such issue?
