Unreal Engine 4.10 Released!

Hi ,
I’m pretty sure I did set it up properly, Exact replicate of set up in 4.8 works fine, but not in 4.10. I normally use
blank project, so I can track down if it happen to be any issue.

I fixed this by renaming my project to the original name by removing the “4.10” that the project conversion adds to the folder name.

Is the “external referenced” issue going to be fixed in a hotfix? This is caused by 4.10 update automatically renaming projects.

Unfortunately we’ll need a bit more information before we’ll be able to assess what is occurring. If you could, please post to the answerhub (link in signature) so we can assist you more in depth. In your answerhub post, please include what steps you are taking to reproduce this on your end as well as whether this occurs in a clean, blank project with no additional content or if it is limited to one project.

Please post this to the answerhub in the bug reports section as well, though the first few things I would check would be whether you have set the input to Game mode and UI, UI only, or Game only; whether or not you have set the widget components to consume input, and if you have enabled input from the player on the 3D widget.

How is going with UE-21203?
I guess is not fixed prior 4.10, cos there are no way for my 100 meg project to consume 6 gig memory after 40mins of work in blueprints.

I cannot log in epic games launcher anymore. Getting “Could not establish a web session. Please try again”-message. During last week that message came always time when trying to log in, but worked on second try. Today cant get in at all.

This bug report is still under assessment. Unfortunately at this time I do not have a timeframe of when a fix will be made available.

When trying to log in to answerhub it also gives now this error “There was an error contacting the remote service”. Just to let you know. No panic even cant wait to see if there is some new stuff in marketplace again coming today. :slight_smile:

Edit: Changed my password and now launcher working again. Did that after it sayd I had too many session running already. :S

Im also unhappy with the unstable state since 4.8

@ Sentura Did you port an older project from a different engine version over? I had similar lighting/texture problems when bringing older projects into newer versions, so I tend to stick with one engine version, or recreate from scratch if moving to a new release!

Yeah it was an old project. It’s been upgraded many times prior though, so it’s weird it starts acting up now. I tried with other projects as well and I got the same problems. While lighting is a big issue by itself, the fact that brushes break makes previous levels impossible to play.

As far as I can tell from the other responses in this thread these seem to be common issues, so I’m thinking it has to do with the stability of the engine version.

Just reverted my password in order to be able to log into UE forums and Epic Launcher! Looking forward to 10.1 hotfix with these hotfixes below. Not using answerhub much since most of my threads remain ignored :confused:

I was wondering what the status on UE-23364 is and if it will make the 4.10.1 hotfix (sorry if this was answered already, I can’t find any reference to it)? Not being able to use ssl with perforce is causing us quite a bit of problems in our setup currently.

I haven’t heard from Epic yet (hopefully after Thanksgiving), but has anyone experienced this kind of issue: Launcher can't connect to the server - Getting Started - Unreal Engine Forums ?

Things have been pretty quiet since 4.10 came out, and we’re in the festive season. Will there even be a 4.10.1 or are Epic looking to move forward with a 4.11 preview in the new year?

@up - totally agree.

UE4 community is the best. There is no other engine out there that devs are answering questions in public and with this frequency. Thanks to guys like you Epic can review their “open communication” (which is great btw! ) and make decision to not to share anything just publish next releases like other engines are doing.

Epic: remember that there is a lot of normal users that loves you! (they don’t have time to let you know about it because they are doing games instead of blaming you) Don’t change and just do your job.

I’d like to add another ping on this bug. It seems like it should be a P0, it targets mostly serious developers and makes 4.10 unusable for using an offsite perforce server.
