With VS community 2015 update 1 already installed, I updated engine to 4.10.2.
When updating UE, the launcher told me it failed. However the engine did update. So now when I open the Launcher it tells me I am on 4.10.1 and there is an update, but it’s really 4.10.2.
I would say it’s broken…
Hey guys, please stop flood the thread with unprofessional rages against Epic. These guys provides you with such an amazing engine and very good feedback, so be calm and more professional in your posts. Peace
A hotfix released with some solutions in it. But there is an important, serious problem in memory leak. UE-23794, UE-23795, UE-24035… I don’t know maybe there are even much more jira subject related to this issue. Let me remind what the problem is; there is a unstoppable leak in memory, starts with 700 mb, just after opening some blueprints, in 15 minutes memory usage of ue4 editor reaches to 13-14 gb (of 16 gb). That should have the highest priority, because every 15 minutes, editor needs a restart.

Matinee movie recording still seem to be broken in 4.10.2. The opening Windows stays black for minute or two and then crashes. No file is made.

For me, movie recording is working again in 4.10.2, but the HUD does not appear in the AVI file. I’m recording the movie with the settings shown below. The HUD appears on screen while capturing, but does not appear in the AVI file.
Also, compression does not seem to work. With quality set to 0 and to 1 I get an AVI file with the same size.

I don’t believe the compression quality slider is expected to have any effect when using AVI, as the AVI is uncompressed. That slider effects frames saved as JPGs.

Thank you.
Quick question: since I updated to 4.10.2, whenever I launch the engine it doesn’t open the project browser but the last opened project. Am I missing something?

Hi hieveryone,
The answer you seek is : Why is UE 4.4 loading the last project instead of the Project Browser? - Platform & Builds - Epic Developer Community Forums
Cheers!

Oh man, I was hoping that this will be addressed in this hotfix. It takes 5 minutes to fill my 8 gigs, and that’s very frustrating. I hope it won’t take long for Epic to fix this though.
AMD Radeon R9 285x crashing after update, had crashing issues before (installed beta drivers that fixed this issue) , then directly following update i’m back to constant crashing. I know this has been an issue before (and seems to be in every other quickfix from Epic or update/beta driver from AMD). I know the issue has been bounced between AMD and Epic on official forums, and I don’t blame Epic nor AMD but nothing would get me more happy than to find out what it is that is crashing the editor, and have done so the last 1½ year.

I was (am) a huge AMD fan, but I had to ditch AMD because of all the issues with it and Unreal…
I’ve been able to make it work, thanks for the answer.

As you can see I’m not the only one who faces with this issue, also expecting a quick fix. Please, it’s becoming urgent day by day.

Yours is the only post I’ve seen in the thread that creates an offtopic question, everyone else is discussing about the engine, which is why you should be . Thank you.
About the update: is another one affected by the memory leak issue. I’m not interested in update until this one is fixed, given the huge size of those “hot fix”.
So… is the UE 4.10.2 hot fix is actually compatible with VS2015 with update 1?

It appears the warning was due to one or more users having with 4.10.2 when they had VS14 Update 1 installed (Starting/Updating or something like that)
HTH
I using 4.10.2 with VS 2015 with Update 1 and i have no problem …
