So i am trying to test the displacement with nanite on UE5.3 but everytime I build the data of the landscape nanite the landscape becomes invisible…I’ve done anything for the displacement like the commands used in DefaultEngine.ini (r.Nanite.AllowTessellation=1,
r.Nanite.Tessellation=1) but still nothing happens…I dont know if it has anything to do with the error on the left up corner
this is the material I used.
Are you on an AMD GPU? I had to swap to my 2080 because the mesh would just turn invisible otherwise.
I am on a RX 5500 XT. Does only AMD users have problems like that?
I mean the displacement feature only.
Not sure, but it didn’t work on either of my AMD cards with recent drivers. As soon as I swapped in my 2080, it worked fine. Could be a driver issue or it could be a UE issue, not sure.
Thanks for the reply…Yeah i think its a UE issue for AMD users i hope they fix it.
I don’t think the RX 5500 XT supports DX12 Ultimate and might not fully support nanite and mesh shading? That RX 5000 series in particular seems to be really inconsistent with nanite support. AMD GPU Issues - Nanite in 5.1.1
I forgot to mention that I was having the issue on RX 6000 series cards. We have an RX 7000 series in the house, but I haven’t tested the issue on it yet. Either way, it’s likely a UE or a driver issue.
