In this position, you’ll be working with our in-house team on current UE4 projects. You’ll be the driver in porting over a UE4 VR game to other VR platforms, such as PS4VR, HTC Vive, and Windows Mixed Reality (WMR). You’ll be intimately working with UE4’s Profiling tools to identify and address computationally expensive areas in code or graphics and achieve an acceptable benchmark on the platform you’re assigned to. You’ll also be responsible for integrating new build features and code while responsibly merging it into your source control stream.

We are looking for someone who has 2+ years of experience as a developer in the game industry and has experience with virtual reality development. You should have experience with Unreal (UE4), C++, Blueprints and Visual Studio. Your background should include working on VR games that have been released or well documented. POSITION REQUIREMENTS

· Must have at least 2 years of experience developing in the Unreal Engine 4 using C++ and Blueprints.

· Must have experience with building a game on PS4VR, HTC Vive, or Windows Mixed Reality.

· Must have prior experience optimizing games for VR. Framerates, shaders, effects, code.

· Must have knowledge of good object-oriented software engineering practices.

· Must be able to manage existing code base and write new, well-structured, readable code.

· Must have exceptional problem solving and debugging skills.

· Must have experience using UE4’s Profiler and Session Frontend tools for frame rate optimizations.

· Must be familiar with integrating and maintaining codebases across different streams using version source control.

BONUSES

· Experience in UE4’s AI system using blackboards and behavior trees.

· Have shipped a title for the Oculus, PS4VR, HTC Vive, or Windows Mixed Reality.

· Familiarity with Perforce/Helix Version Control.

· Solid background in rendering with experience in shaders, geometry processing and lighting.

· Experience writing networking code. Competency with networking and asynchronous programming concepts.

· Experience with multi-threaded programming.
