Undulating Tentacle Material

Hello,

I am trying to make a material that undulates a tentacle so that it pulses in a slightly gross looking way. Currently I have only managed to do this for one that is completely straight up (as the GIF will demonstrate) as it will not work on one that has the same UV layout but has been posed in Maya before being imported. Any help with this would be massively appreciated.

Use Vertex Normal instead of local position and that should fix it.
