Summary
After changing the Landscape Material for a Landscape and updating the Target Layers, I’m seeing an error message when trying to save the Project:
“The Asset ‘/ProjectName/ExternalActors/ProjectName/0/37/Asset Code’ (Asset Code.uasset) failed to save.”
Steps to recreate:
- Create a new project from the Meadow Island template.
- Select Landscape from the Outliner.
- Change the Landscape Material to “MI Landscape Ch2” (Also happens with Ch4).
- Landscape Mode → Paint → Target Layers → Layers → Create Layers From Assigned Materials.
- Save Project.
You will see a Message: “The Asset ‘/ProjectName/ExternalActors/ProjectName/0/37/Asset Code’ (Asset Code.uasset) failed to save.”
Followed by the ability to Continue Retry or Cancel.
Thanks.
