Summary

Bascially i am unable to launch a Memory Calculation, or even turn on revision control, on my map SurvivalRush. And i think its because of this error:
LogValkyrieReferencedContent: Warning: Link code Mnemonic=[3002-9262-6738] Version=[170] missing public_modules metadata

What I can see from the error is that that my project module is not connected to the UEFN project. Mind you, this project is a converted 1.0 project, to UEFN.

Steps to Reproduce

I don’t know how you can reproduce it, but if i did know, i would probably know how to fix it.

Expected Result

You will get this error: LogValkyrieReferencedContent: Warning: Link code Mnemonic=[3002-9262-6738] Version=[170] missing public_modules metadata

Observed Result

You will get this error: LogValkyrieReferencedContent: Warning: Link code Mnemonic=[3002-9262-6738] Version=[170] missing public_modules metadata

Platform(s)

PC

Island Code

Additional Notes

This is my project module ID: “d9335954-4d95-1228-9270-9aac4fe96fcb”

I also tried doing what this what guy in the forums said to do(When I launch session I get: failed to initialize dependency module, is there any fixes? - #50 by HeyPickledDave), and it gave me this error: “Failed to sunc project with content service. Error: Module d9335954-4d95-1228-9270-9aac4fe96fcb already has name ‘:survivalrush’”

This is also what’s in the SurvivalRush.uefnproject file:
“projectId”: “e65f1f41-9951-4dea-9b98-739e99a37637”,
“modules”:
{
“SurvivalRush”: “d9335954-4d95-1228-9270-9aac4fe96fcb”
}
}

I have all the information you need, i just need someone who knows about this stuff to assist me. Thank you for taking your time to read this.

hey @Mickado
sorry for the delayed response

after getting access to your project on our servers, I looked into it and the module id and name match what you have in the uefnproject file so that’s all in order

the missing public_modules metadata warning should be harmless and safe to ignore

there’s another error at play here
can you send me the UnrealEditorFortnite.log file after opening that project?
it should be in

C:\Users<USERNAME>\AppData\Local\UnrealEditorFortnite\Saved\Logs

I really do appreciate you getting back to me! I did end up fixing that memory calculation issue, but i still am unable to turn on revision control. Ill send that file over :slight_smile:
Also off topic, if you happen to see anything related to Creature spawner errors, maybe that could help my other issue lol. For some people, there are invisible zombies in every lobby they go into, and i cant find a reason why.

UnrealEditorFortnite.log (6.6 MB)
Hopefully this sends correctly!

I don’t see any error when syncing the project with content service so I guess you fixed the original issue

how did you fix it? by clearing the uefnproject bindings section to create a new project on content service?

What’s the error when trying to turn on revision control? grab the UEFN log after attempting to do so.

So when i click “Connect to revision control” at the botton right, i click the “Unreal revision control” option for Provider. Then when i accept settings, it says “Revision Control: Connection Error: the project directory contains Unreal Revision Control data for a different project.” This is also a converted map from Creative mode to UEFN.
asdfasdfas

And my issue was that i had liek 50 creature spawers in my map, so it wouldnt let me run my memory calculation because of that. But i ended up deleting most of those.

I think you ended up changing the project id of your project at some point (like I said earlier; creating a new project on content service with the same local project files)
and you likely have left over Unreal Revision Control data for that old project
deleting the ‘.urc’ folder that’s in the project folder (which contains a sqlite database for URC) should fix your revision control problem

Hey that worked! Thank you so much, you really saved me. I need to buy a new pc very soon, and i would have had no way to move my project over to that pc without revision control, so thats great!
Thank you so much again!!

glad it did

Hey, can i ask you one more question? There is a massive bug in my map where creature zombies are invisible for some people, not not for others. I have tried everything and cant find a fix.
Do you have any suggestions on what i can do to get this issue seen? Ive reported many times in the past weeks and it has got no recognition. If you dont know, no worries and i appreciate it.

I don’t have much expertise on this class of problem.

have you made a post specifically for it? if so I can bring it up on our internal UEFN support channel to get some traction

Ah okay. Yeah i did make a post, here is my most recent report. Thank you!
