Collaboration

Summary

An old team member worked on parts of the project early in 2023 but is no longer involved with the project and we cannot contact them. Our project was migrated to a new team since. They have left objects checked out in the game world (giant buildings and trees), and we are unable to remove them in spite of them not being a part of the team since the project was migrated to a new Creator Portal team.

The only choice this leaves us with is to start all over again, which is not great after so much progress being made.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Check out an asset in UEFN.
  2. Leave the Fortnite Creator Portal team.
  3. Other team members attempt to edit these assets.

Expected Result

Other team members are now unable to remove assets despite no longer being a part of their Creator Portal team.

Observed Result

Other team members are now unable to remove assets despite no longer being a part of their Creator Portal team.

Platform(s)

Hi Lisards,

As long as you are the admin, using the forcerelease command should help you solve this.

Could this option be made available from within UEFN itself? It is only accessible via PowerShell currently.

I’d love that too. I assume that a visual client is being worked on, but haven’t heard any info on timelines.

The PowerShell method does work, but the documentation is outdated (URL in example has different format to how Fortnite Creator Portal displays it now).

Thanks for your help!
