Unable to open previous project

Summary

I made a UEFN map and published it last April. I then took a break, unlisted the map, and came back today trying to edit the map in UEFN, but can’t.

It looks like it is still Active (the project) in my creator portal:
Name: Bunker Box Fights - Zero Build FFA
Code: 2780-4081-7580

When I download and open UEFN, the project is just the base initial version called “Bunker” it looks like.

How do I get the latest, active version into my UEFN editor?

Unreal Revision Control

Steps to Reproduce

I redownloaded UEFN today. It has a project called “Bunker” that must be my initial base version of the full project that I need from my creator portal described in the summary.

Expected Result

I need the latest active version of my map, in my UEFN ultimately.

Observed Result

When I open “Bunker”, there is nothing there, just a basic “intro” project. Not like the full project version thats on the creator portal (I can open and play it in Fortnite).

Platform(s)

PC / Epic Games / UEFN

Island Code

The most likely scenario is that you never checked-in your project, Unlike fortnite creative, UEFN uses a revision control system Unreal Revision Control in Unreal Editor for Fortnite | Unreal Editor for Fortnite Documentation | Epic Developer Community
Unless you happen to have a backup of the file from last time you used uefn your options are limited, You might be able to Retrieve some limited assets (like verse devices) from the latest published version by finding its module version in the Content Service

but yea other than that you can’t really do much to retrieve the map. Just make sure in the future to upload your files to the Revision Control

Thank you. Does the project not get checked in to URC when publishing it on UEFN?

And, on top of my last comment, how do I see if it was checked in with URC?

To Check In your progress You need to press this and then provide a Message

And to then Check your snapshot history that contains dates you press this

When looking at Snapshot history, are the snapshots stored locally or on epics side?

Snapshots are stored on Epic’s Side

Okay. So in my creator portal, I have various versions of the map listed there, some with notes.

But when I go into snapshot history, it doesn’t see any of it.

Private map versions Is not the same as uploading in the revision control unfortunately those are 2 different features.

Gotcha. Okay so it sounds like , when publishing and listing a map, there isn’t a forced “URC check in”, and since there is nothing in snapshot history, I must not have done one then. And, there isn’t any other way to pull down the map from creator portal, onto my computer?

When I look at the project in UEFN, it says URC is enabled / turned on, in the bottom right near the open button. But, I can’t find any updated snapshots / versions from the local UEFN.

Despite URC being enabled, if you didn’t manually check in changes at any point. There’s not going to be any snapshots

Thank you very much for all the info
