Unable to load Creative Island on Mobile

Summary

Our map was released in Epic Picks lately and we’ve had a number of users saying that they are unable to load the experience on mobile. Tried this myself last night and noticed that I was unable to load in due to an error or the island download would hang and would fail to download leaving the download to last for 30+ minutes.

Creative Island is low on Project size so it’s not a heavy project to download. Looking at roughly 10% for the project.

Have tried multiple times on a few different devices and still cannot load in.

Steps to Reproduce

Load Island Code: 3016-7135-8704 or search Team Pillars on Mobile.

Matchmake into the experience and try to download the island.

Expected Result

Load into the island normally.

Observed Result

Met with error for downloading island.

Additional Notes

Can load into other experiences fine, our experience it fails to load.

Also reported logs from within the device.

FORT-928532 has been created and its status is ‘Unconfirmed’. This is now in a queue to be reproduced and confirmed.

@ImBlanky , this failure to matchmake seems to be caused by a material error. Could you try the following:

  1. Open up your material (Content\BeamFurthest\Crack\Crack\Materials\M_Geode_Frag_Bit)
  2. find where you are sampling the texture (HDRI_Epic_Courtyard_Daylight)
  3. change the sampler type on that material expression to be “linear color”
