UMG widget image displays in Editor but Not in VR Build

Howdy! So um I have spent weeks trying to understand what the bug is here. This image which is just a box shows up fine in the editor: “Draw as” is box, just black color, default settings. Looks fine in the level. on the tablet actor I have here:

And Yet, in the oculus everything but this displays: WHY!?!?!?! I actually used to work and then one day it just stopped working. I am unclear as to why, currently I don’t have the time to try to go down a long call stack or inside c++ to see what could be the issue. I hope its something simple but I have no clue. Thank you.

So, I discovered the work around - you can’t use the default brushes the color, but MUST set it to be an image. So for example I made a camera with a white flash - I has to use a white image.
