First time posting on the Unreal forums…

I have a question that I hope someone can answer :

I’m currently working on a widget intended to work on iOS (not sure if this is important).
I want to create some sort of a glass looking menu in front of a real time scene.

**But what I would love to achieve and can’t really find out how, is a blur effect right behind the glass (so, a blur of the landscape). This blur should only blur the background following the shape of the glass, which is not square or rectangle… **

What I understood until now is that I would need to use a Retainer Box to help render the blur effect behind the widget, but my biggest problem is that I can’t seem to find how to blur the background using a particular shape.

Could someone help or enlighten me on that matter? What should I do to get that effect?
