I wonder if its a bug caused by language settings not properly configured for the default layout. I remember reading about that being a problem about certain editor functions. Hopefully they’re aware and fixing it, otherwise maybe a few votes to get it looked at.
I would suggest setting your editor windows up manually and saving that as a layout to use instead of the default
hi @kamiyanyan ,
This crash is caused by the MS Japanese keyboard driver.
First of all you must set your Windows to US standard and U.S. keyboard and setting then restart PC.
Look at the Windows Update and see if any updates are needed and install.
Now change to MS Japanese keyboard whilst in US standard Windows.
Now the correct latest MS Japanese keyboard driver is loaded. Check Windows update for any other patches.
Now Select Japanese in Windows settings. Restart Windows and you are back in Japanese with the new latest correct keyboard driver which will work with UEFN, because UEFN uses the latest driver, not the one that comes with an original Japanese Windows PC.
ALL non US keyboard drivers have to be loaded this way
Hi
There is no way to set up a non-us Windows 10/11 with the latest keyboard driver.
This has always been the case in Windows Update will only download in US then you can change.
Once was asked to install 48 Polish keyboard on a rival manufacturer, so the multi national co got billed. Each PC/keyboard manufacturer has to put in place drivers.
Epic quite rightly expects PC to have the latest driver for a keyboard, but with so many type of PC to work with this wont happen and you may as well close this as a Unfixable Windows problem MS cannot fix.
This is because HP writes hardware keyboard drivers.
Dell writes Keyboard hardware drivers.
Add on Keyboard drivers like Logitec are all own their drivers and can only have them in MS Windows distribution if the have been apporved by MS WHL.
