I ran into an issue with UEFN where I couldn’t undo a change to the Landscape Material in a Landscape. This landscape was from an island template and has the name /Game/Athena/Environments/Landscape/Creative/M_Athena_Terrain_DesertBiome1.
Unfortunately, because we don’t have access to these files (or do we?), I cannot revert back to this landscape material.
How do I revert this material back to the default?
Steps to Reproduce
Change Landscape’s Landscape Material in a default island such as Wasteland Island
Notice how you cannot search for the M_Athena_Terrain_DesertBiome1 material
Expected Result
The expectation is that this material should be available to use
Observed Result
Actual result is that this material cannot be found
In case anybody runs into this same issue, I discovered a workaround.
Right click your Landscape Material in UEFN, click paste, and it will paste the contents of your clipboard to the material.
E.g. my clipboard contained /Script/Engine.Material'/Game/Athena/Environments/Landscape/Creative/M_Athena_Terrain_DesertBiome1.M_Athena_Terrain_DesertBiome1' and I pasted that to the Landscape Material. The biome is now correctly being used again.
Hello friend. I’m encountering the same issue and with you being the only person I across to mention it, I want to ask you something. Could you at the point of having the problem you mentioned edit your landscape material? I’m trying to add a lava portion to my snowy map. I can’t quite figure how to add layers to my landscape material without being able to edit it. Any tips? I’m running out of potential solutions.
Thanks in advance!
