UEFN project gone

Summary

I recently got a new PC, and now all my UEFN projects are missing, except for those created in Fortnite Creative. Unfortunately, I can no longer find the project for my published map, “1v1 Build Fight [Zyless]”, in my UEFN project list or file explorer.

Here is the link to my map: fortnite.com/@zyless/7168-0839-4701.

I want to update this map but have no way of accessing the original project. I’ve already checked all possible locations and reviewed support articles, but I haven’t found a solution.

Additional Notes

The image I added is just showing my uefn projects I have converted a few minutes ago because I wanted to search for my published map.

You can manually load your project by selecting it’s .uefnproject file.
Just Find where your project is saved on your PC and then press Browse… and select the file.

Also the project might be in a team so Press the “My Projects” drop down at the top of your screen and select the team the project might be in.

Hey, like I said above, I got a new pc. The file isn’t saved on my pc .
Also there’s only “My Projects”.

Do you not have access to your previous pc’s hard drive? Did you at any point upload your project to epic’s unreal revision control.

Also the project even if unavailable should still normally show up in the project browser. Make sure you are logged into the correct account, Can you also not see those projects even in the creator portal? https://create.fortnite.com

I don’t have access to my previous pc’s hard drive and I don’t know what “epic’s unreal revision control” is. But I have got the project in the creator portal.

Is your map probably this?

Keep in mind the Title you give to an island when publishing is not the same as the Project Title which would be the one that shows on the Project Browser.

Here’s some more info for revision control: Unreal Revision Control in Unreal Editor for Fortnite | Unreal Editor for Fortnite Documentation | Epic Developer Community

Sadly not, I checked the maps but all my uefn projects were normal maps made in creative. So all my uefn projects are gone.

Could you try making a team and moving your project in it? Then have it only show projects from that team. The project will most likely be shown.

In the creator portal?

Yes in the creator portal

Done and it really was that file you have shown me before BUT the whole process is gone like everything is gone besides this:

If I may ask would you mind giving me access to the project? If its ok by you of course, I want to try to see if I can restore it.

Hmm, could you maybe tell me how I can do it instead?

Go to the Content Service https://content-service.bfda.live.use1a.on.epicgames.com/ and find the module of your map then retrieve the assets zip folder of the most recent module version and then add them to your project

I’ve chosen the map, where should I click now?

Modules

I’ve got 2 modules now. 1 from today and 1 from July 2024.

Hmmmmm try to find the one that was used last time your island was fully built and want to recover from, try to guess based on last updated dates

I updated the thumbnail for my map today, so I guess I’ll choose the newest from today or? If I play my map in Fortnite then everything is finished.

When was the last time on THIS island that you entered into an edit sesion and was fully built.
