Recently Had A Map That Would Get Stuck While Calculating & Never Complete The Calculation, This Was Happening To Everyone On Our Team. The Player Would Not Teleport Around The Map Calculating It Would Just Be Froze In Place Until You Force Closed The Application & Thus Never Completed Memory Calc In Creator Portal.
I Found A Fix That Allows You To Get The Calculation Through, Simply Click Project → Upload To Private Version → Upload & Your Island Will Start Calculating Again, But Atleast For Us This Would Increase The Calculation % By 1-15 % Points Each Time. So Not Exactly Convenient But Its A Workaround If You Run Into This Issue As Well.
The Map Was Originally Created In 1.0 And Converted To UEFN
this happens with one of my maps as well… It was created in 1.0 then converted to uefn too. I force close it and refresh the portal and it acts like it went through and tested fine. It publishes fine as well… sometimes the portal acts like I never ran the calc. but I hit publish, hit ok when it gives me the error of no memory calc. and then publish again. then it works.
Thank you for your report! We would like to look into this further, would you be able to submit a bug report using the form available here? Fortnite Creative
i have encounted this issue today. stuck at 0 percent memory calculation. tried all day and same still…tired the work around but calculates at 0 memory used…please fix this issue epic games
There is a known bug that certain windmill assets can cause issues with memory calculation. It may be worth checking your projects to see if you have any of these assets present and remove them.
after the private upload code is generated, wait for the fortnite loading screen to finish and your player is back in edit/play mode before continuing.
You can see if its finished by hovering your mouse over the fortnite icon in the task bar
Looks like its all set to go on the edit/play mode side at 11.06 then times out at 11.39…
Are you using a wired internet ?
Do you have World Partitioning enabled ?
Looking at the time from being uploaded to cooking and finish, thats 04.54 to 10.58, 6 hours ???
Thats way hefty
How many actors in your project ?
How many assets have you got included in the HLOD layer ?
Just the ones that should be seen from a distance or have you got most props included in the HLOD ?
