UEFN MCP Build Verse can remain pending while the “Save Selected” dialog is open

Summary

When Codex runs Build Verse through the MCP connected to UEFN, the build can appear incomplete while UEFN displays a “Save Selected” dialog. In those cases, the dialog must be identified and handled before the build result can be checked. I have not confirmed whether the cause is the editor dialog workflow, MCP result reporting, or both.

Verse

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open the project in UEFN (version not confirmed).
  2. Connect Codex to the UEFN MCP (exact MCP implementation not confirmed).
  3. Trigger Build Verse in a project state where UEFN displays “Save Selected”.
  4. Observe the dialog and the exact status or response returned by the MCP.
  5. Select “Save Selected” and observe whether Build Verse then reaches a clear result.

This occurs intermittently. The exact trigger and reproduction rate have not been established.

Expected Result

Build Verse should return a clear terminal result for success or compiler errors. If an editor dialog is blocking the operation, the MCP should report an explicit pending-confirmation state, identify the dialog and its available actions, and provide a safe way for the agent to follow the user’s instruction.

Observed Result

When “Save Selected” is open, Codex may not receive a clear structured indication that UEFN is waiting for that action. The dialog must be identified by inspecting the editor. After it is handled, the build result can be checked. The supplied screenshot shows the dialog but does not include a separate MCP response or compiler result.
