Is XP being rewarded for playtime on UEFN maps anymore? I thought it was supposed to be but I have not seen it in a while.
This can really hurt new map playtime and make the system even more unbalanced for uncalibrated maps vs calibrated maps.
Please, please, please see if this can be fixed and also rework the entire calibration XP system for maps. Let’s work towards a fair system for all maps.
I could be wrong, but I thought that playtime XP for UEFN islands was only implemented as a temporary measure, since the XP device was not functioning at the time of UEFN’s release. But with the last update, the XP device was added to the editor, so I assume that playtime XP is not awarded anymore, or, at least, not on islands that use an XP device.
I’m facing the same issue at the moment. It seems like there is no XP at all for the maps that I created. Not sure why tho. I’m getting “Fortnite: Accolade XP Calibration Status Update” emails but still, there is no progress. Maybe there are too less players in my islands?
Maps usually need in the thousands of plays to get calibrated and then it can lose calibration if the plays drop a lot. The system terribly needs to be reworked.
So, I did some testing regarding XP gained for play time on UEFN maps that are not calibrated.
From what I have found there actually is XP being granted for UEFN maps still but there is no visual indicator of this happening. If you take note of your XP levels before entering a map you should see an increase after you have been in the map for a while. I tested for about 15-30 min and the XP definitely went up.
I’m not sure why there is no visual indicators like there used to be, and I’m sure many people play uefn maps and are not aware that they are gaining xp for playtime.
