(UEFN) In-game Start and End Round buttons stop appearing randomly causing devices and edit mode to bug

Hello, I’m having this bug while creating this map (it’s been converted from 1.0 to 2.0) where the Start and End buttons (the big yellow and red ones that appear when clicking “esc”) randomly disappear, forcing me to use the one in the UEFN editor. The problem isn’t that in itself, but rather that device settings like functions revert to working with channels just like in 1.0 and therefore don’t save if you apply changes. Furthermore, The player’s movement becomes completely buggy and seems to be overridden and reverts to default (some examples: Despite setting “Can’t deploy Parachute,” if you click space while in the air, it just bugs and clips up and down on the floors, or the mantle is present despite being disabled like other locomotive settings). I tried replacing the Island Settings Device with no luck.

I think it’s completely random how it appears, but it’s very very common. I’ve found that relaunching the session isn’t a permanent fix, nor is not using the editor’s start/end buttons, so I don’t understand why it appears.

I’m open to providing more details.

Here’s some photos of the bug

This is how the button should appear:

This is what happens randomly, it disappears:

Then Island settings bugs and can’t be modified in game:

Devices starts using channels and can’t use them because they don’t save:

During the game round, as said before, if you press double spacebar you just turn like you are in edit mode and clip trough the floor:

imo you shouldn’t convert anything from 1.0 to uefn start from scratch

I agree, it’s my first time creating with uefn and I wouldn’t do it again, however I believe that it’s not necessarily the reason why the bug occurs and it should be fixed anyway

I did 1 map the first time and it caused so many issues with devices ect ever since i always started fresh and its been fine. That initial project got deleted and i never tried that convert method again

Hopefully no problems in publishing… (other than the current bug ‘‘commandlet error’’ which I saw its a common thing rn and its getting fixed)
