Uefn Freezes at Validating local Source files

Summary

after launching session it freezes at validating local source files 24%
noticed the change after reverting back to my old revisions
no error on revision control
i tried uninstalling uefn, clearing app data no change
i tried verifying uefn and fortnite at epic launcher no change
still freeze at 24% every single time

Steps to Reproduce

  • revert back to old snapshot
  • launched the game successfully
  • then went back to the newest version
  • launched the session
  • freeze at 24%

Expected Result

game launching

Observed Result

freeze at 20% for a few seconds and completely freeze at 24%. consistently

im getting this error after sync to latest and restarting uefn

Troubleshooting After a Freeze

  • Force Close UEFN: If it’s locked up, close and reopen the editor.
  • Re-sync or Restore Again:
  • Use Sync Latest or the CLI tool (urc projects snapshots get ) to restore the desired revision again.
  • Check the Output/Message Log:
  • After a successful launch, check the Message Log for errors or missing files.
  • Remove Local Derived Data:
  • Sometimes, deleting the local Intermediate or DerivedDataCache folder inside your project directory can clear stuck states (be sure to back up first).
