I tried every possible way to import them as animations and it works (Migrating from UE5, or just importing straight from blender with armature that has one bone driving the deformation) but you always get this error when trying to launch. Another thing that would be cool as well is the ability to import hair curves as alembic files and have the hair physics like you can in Unreal Editor.
Hello,
According to this post from the Animation AMA morph targets will work in 25.20 (25.10 is the latest public release as of now)
So try again once 25.20 is out and let us know if you’re still seeing that error.
Great to hear! I entered the UEFN animation contest recently and Morph Target support would have made things so much smoother and efficient as opposed to having to use bones (it ended up having over 200 bones in the custom rig I made). It would also be interesting to see the results of contest before and after there is morph target support as it is such a primary aspect of animation.
did you get them to work? i’m planning my character now
