UEFN crashes on launch

Summary

Recent #UEFN updates have rendered my laptop incapable of launching the app. Right as it’s about to start, UEFN closes and throws up a crash reporter with:

GPU Crash Dump Triggered
UnrealEditorFortnite_Win64_Shipping (x39 times)
kernel32
ntdll

Remedies tried: :thread:
ran as Admin
set Win8 compatibility mode
-dx11 command line arg
-dx12 command line arg
-sm5 command line arg
-sm3.1 command line arg
verify UEFN files
uninstall/reinstall UEFN
install dx 12 shaders
updated gpu drivers
downgraded gpu drivers
updated gpu drivers
updated windows
factory reset laptop
reinstalled windows
reinstalled launcher
reinstalled UEFN
deleted UEFN intermediate, saved, config files
Mange 3D settings–>UEFN = High Performance NVIDIA Processor
Regedit -->TdrDelay = 60
Regedit -->TdrDdiDelay = 60
Deleted pak files, verified installation

omg! same problem. ive tried every method on the web but nothing seems to work. did you find a fix?

My Nvidia card needs 300 minimum to 500 for an early Nvidia graphics card
Regedit -->TdrDelay = 600

use -dx11 -sm5 UEFN does not NEED tDX12 his and dont use NVidia SLI or DLSS.

There is a patch in Latest EPGL Launcher 17.1 gives UEFN 32.11

I finally fixed this, yes. I have now fixed 3 identical machines that had this issue. (HP Victus Laptops.)

In short: Had to go into the BIOS and force the machine to use the GPU rather than the integrated graphics hardware.
