UEFN bringing back every deleted asset at once on team members end

Sorry this is my first post here on the forums so if this isn’t the correct space to post this my bad, but I’ve been running into an issue (twice now) on different projects.

Basically the rundown is a team member is asked to sync, and once they sync everything that was deleted previously is brought back on their end and there’s no way of reverting because the editor insists that its necessary to move forward?

This issue has caused us to restart the project multiple times because we have no idea how to stop it from happening, as well as not being able to tell what assets are doubled up which makes memory sky rocket.

Way back when it first happened I got a response from an epic dev saying it was possibly related to streaming but I never got any follow up messages after that so im not really sure if that’s the case.

You might have your UEFN projects folder being backed up by another system like OneDrive. So both Unreal Revision Control and the other source control system are fighting against each other.

Its best to place your UEFN projects where it is not being backed up by another system.
