UEFN 42.20: Launch Memory Calculation uploads a private version but no calculation starts

Summary

After the documented Launch Memory Calculation flow completed one private upload, I saw no calculation-start notification, formal client result, Memory Test Results table, or calculated value in the Publishing Report. This was observed on one unpublished Windows project running UEFN 42.20 (CL-58011042). The root cause is unknown.

Memory Calculation

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Launch the official UEFN session and wait for the island to load in the Fortnite client and for the editor GameState to show Running.
  2. Select End Game and wait for the editor to return to CanStart/Edit Mode.
  3. Select Project > Launch Memory Calculation.
  4. Complete one Upload to Private Version.
  5. Check the Publishing Report, Fortnite client, and Window > Message Log > Memory Test Results; close the class-selection popup before checking the client.
  6. Recheck Launch Memory Calculation once. It reopened the same upload prompt, so cancel before a second upload.

Expected Result

After the upload finishes, UEFN should show that the memory calculation has started, then the Fortnite client should display the calculated result. The Memory Test Results table and Publishing Report should show a formal calculated value for the island version.

Observed Result

The private upload and Windows cook completed, but no calculation-start or completion notification, client result screen, or Memory Test Results entry appeared. The Publishing Report said Completed with Warnings, Windows cook successful, download 0.31 MiB, Experimental Features: No Issues, Asset Status: No Known Issues, and Memory Usage: Not Yet Calculated. The upload confirmation showed the existing private version again, so no distinct calculated version was established. After closing the class-selection popup, the Edit Mode HUD showed 5,749/100,000 Current Memory Usage; this is not the formal publishing calculation. The sanitized post-upload log review found no calculation start/completion event; the line “MemorySamplerStateChanged Ready” indicates sampler readiness only. Root cause is unknown.
