UE5 Water bug -- Spiking

Hello, I am trying to place a water actor into a heightmap generated landscape. It doesn’t matter which water type I place, the result is always the same. The boundaries of the water actor shoot up and create spiked walls around the body of water.

Any solution would be greatly appreciated!

Having the same issue. Water bodies spike above ground on the margins, all around. That does not happens on 4.26 or 4.27.

have the same :confused:
Only workarround i found was to make the water surface bigger than the landscape… this is not a solution, if someone has it please help!

Have any of you bug-reported this? That’s probably the only way it’s going to make its way into the queue for some dev attention. It’s obviously not really functional for heightmap-generated landscapes.
