UE5 vs. UE4 Auto LOD Generation

Since porting to UE 5.0.2 from UE 4.27 auto-generated LODs appear to be significantly worse using the same options. Is this a known bug or are there additional settings in UE5, which cause this?

I noticed this too. It seems the auto LOD generation in UE5 is inferior for some reason.
