UE5 Sequencer constraints creating sub-frame keys despite all frame-snapping settings being enabled

Hi everyone,

I’m running into a frustrating issue in the Sequencer where creating animation constraints automatically generates the first compensating/sub-keys on fractional frames (sub-frames like 12.43) instead of locking to clean, whole integer frames.

I have already extensively troubleshooted this and verified the following settings are active:

  • Timeline Snapping (Magnet Icon) is turned ON.
  • In Project Settings, I enabled “Default Lock Engine to Display Rate” to ON
  • The parent object being constrained to has clean, snapped keys (no sub-frame keys on the target asset).

Is there a hidden Editor Preference, a specific Console Variable (cvar), or a structural constraint setting in newer versions of UE5 that completely forces automatic constraint compensation math to respect whole frames?

Any insight or workarounds would be massively appreciated!

Hey there,

I’m unable to reproduce this behaviour. Do you have an exact repro case that you could put here, whether written or as files? What is your Desired Tick Interval (found in the advanced options) and Sequence Display Rate?
