Hi everyone, Ive been testing new version of unreal engine 5 (preview version) just a few test for fps in an empty first person level. I see better optimization for the fps performance. I have gtx 1080 8gbs, 16gb ram… and I can set it everything cinematic except global illumination and antialiasing (these ones in EPIC) and Im having 75/80 fps, which is much better than previous version. The problem still coming when you put a point light in the level, fps decrease by 10 or so… but Im thinking of treating lights just by emissive materials.
Overall, much better performance than previous versions but I hope even a better performance for the final.
Tell me what you have experimented.
Greetings fellas

I would agree it seems improved. I will have to do some testing with lighting when I can to see what works, because if you are correct then this is still somewhat of a problem IMO.
