Hi, I’m having an issue with my project in UE5. I’ve been trying to fix this for days and just can’t seem to figure it out.
I have a miniature solar system lit by one powerful point light (the Sun). In UE4, the trees on my planet cast beautiful shadows. But in UE5 they just won’t. I’ve gone all over the properties on the light, the tree instancers and the receiving meshs (landscape, ocean) as well as the rendering settings. Everything seems good and similar to my UE4 setup, yet I’m missing those shadows. What could be causing this? Thank you!
EDIT; in fact it’s actually not just the trees, there are no shadows being cast by one object onto another object. If I place a moon object in between the Sun and Planet, it doesn’t cast a shadow either. I must have something configured incorrectly.
