UE5 Lumen GI Interior issue

Hello,

Im having an issue with Lumen GI in my interior. the bounce light will terminate in the middle of the hallway in the attached image.

-using one directional light and one skylight in the scene
-one material for all meshes with grey base color and roughness value
-geometry is modular static meshes with distance fields enabled on each mesh
-auto exposure is locked
-using Global Software Tracing

My lumen scene is rather low resolution compared to other i have seen. I’m not sure how to increase the resolution but i do think it is contributing to the issue.

it looks like there is a set distance for the bounce light calculation. Could this be tied to my lumen scene? I can provide more info if needed.
