Summary
I’m encountering an issue when building HLOD and Minimap in UE5. When I click “Build > Build HLODs” or “Build World Partition Editor Minimap,” the build progress bar appears but stops moving, and the process doesn’t complete. The output log shows an error related to shader compilation.
Here’s the weird part: I created an identical empty project last week, and it built successfully at that time. Today, a new empty project created with the same settings but fails to build. After reinstalling Visual Studio and Unreal Engine, the new projects still don’t work, but the old project from last week still builds fine.

Steps to Reproduce
- Create a new empty Open World level.
- In the “World Partition” panel, click “Build > Build HLODs” or “Build World Partition Editor Minimap.”
Expected Result
I expect to be able to build successfully.
Observed Result
The build dialog box pops up, and the progress bar moves but randomly stalls at a certain percentage.
