I stepped away form UE for about six months. Last version I have was UE5.3. but now I upgraded to 5.4 and have some light issue.
(If I stay with UE5.3 all of the textures are being displayed as SD for some weird reason and I couldn’t find a solution. It didn’t do that prior, but now it seems there is a weird glitch causing this.)
For UE5.4 the shadow look like they are bouncing, grainy, or flickering like cloudy or something. I read on forums that it was Lumen and I swear I’ve clicked on every setting within the project settings related to Lumen and nothing changes. I read it could do with the Final Gather Quality on the PostProcessVolume, but that doesn’t do anything no matter what I set it to. I’m really stumped on this. Can someone shed some light on how to fix this.
What should it be set to? Mine says 77. *update. I tried setting it higher, but it made it worse or stayed the same more or less.
This seems like a glitch of some sort because my lights also cull when I get closer to them, but if I play with light culling settings and turn off culling or extend the distance it doesn’t have any effect.
100% means that one hundred percent of the screen is rendering and “not” using any upscaling. If that didn’t do the trick for you, I’d look at other similar posts that have the same issue as you do. Hopefully someone with more knowledge would be able to assist you.
Yeah, I’ve been looking for about 2 weeks straight. I’ve seen people with similar issues, but their solutions don’t fix it for me. Maybe Lumen doesn’t like my graphics driver?
