I’m looking to get a performance issue resolved.
When trying to add any blueprint node in the blueprint editor (using the RMB Context Menu) I will get a delay anywhere between 2 to 3 seconds.
This occurs in all versions of UE5 (with 5.0 maybe showing a slightly less delay). I’ve confirmed UE4.27 has no delay. It also occurs no matter the state of the project files, even a brand new project will have this delay.
Would anyone be able to help or offer insight?
I’ve attached a video example and provided list of steps I’ve tried so far (by working with staff members from my school) to address or locate the issue:
Computer Specs:
CPU: Ryzen 9 5900x
GPU: MSI RTX 3080
RAM: 32gb
Windows: 10 Pro
SSD: Sabrent 2tb M.2 Drive (currently using 312gb dedicated partition for anything UE and currently with 189gb of free space in that partition)
Monitor Setup: 32" (non G-Sync Compatible)
Steps I’ve tried:
- Verifying the installation files
- Disabling and uninstalling non-default Plug-ins
- Uninstalling and Reinstalling the engine
- Removing the engine, creating a new partition for specifically unreal engine and projects, reinstalling it onto that partition
- Disabling some of Windows 10 appearance settings
- Edited the baseengine.ini file to increase its CPU prioritization
- disabling Lumen
- confirmed taskbar is always displayed
- confirmed only in UE5, across any project (even brand new empty ones)
- Microsoft One Drive isn’t installed
- confirmed no CPU overclocking
- tried both Game Ready drivers and Studio drivers, even went back to Game Ready Drivers and did clean install
- did Registry Update Nvidia files
- bought cheap corded mouse to ensure it wasn’t mouse-device issue or brand issue (currently use Logitech G600 with Logitech Gaming Software)
- updated AMD CPU files with Adrenaline Minimal Install package (full package causes Error 182 message).
