I had the same problem and didn’t find any solution. fortunately, my model was still in the early stages so I create imported it again.

after updating unreal and the datasmith plugin to the latest version (5.1) whenever i try to use the live link feature rhino will crash upon clicking on the “synchronize” button on the datasmith toolbar. this didnt happen on all projects, so after a little testing, i found out if an object has all the three conditions listed below (at the same time) rhino will crash.
the conditions:
1.has 2 materials on different faces
2.has box projection uv mapping
3.has “edge softening” modifier c…
