UE5.1 how to stop WaterBodyOcean from going through static meshes

I am attempting to create a game map set on a ship in the ocean and for the life of me I cannot figure out how to get the water to stop going through the ships hull mesh.

I have tried messing around with collisions, not sure what else to try, I do know there is the waterbodyexclusionvolume, except that doesn’t work at all for me for some reason.

just hide the ocean actor when inside the interior IF you have no windows looking outwards as the screenshot…
