UE5.1 crashes while loading maps

My beefy pc has 64gb of ram, 12gb of vram 3080ti, by all accounts more than enough to handle most of ue5.1 based on requirements. But for some reason it crashes every time I try and save or load a very large landscape, just the landscape nothing else. Taskmanager says its using 99% of available memory but how is 64gb not enough??

Does anyone else have this issue or a solution?

Hey @BTeur! Welcome back!

Do you have any logs you can share from your crash? You have some very good specs so there maybe something else going on.

Any additional specifics or info you provide may go a long way in solving your problem!

Is this a UE memory leak or an issue with my memory cards? Is UE4.7 or 5.0 more stable?

Greetings @BTeur

To add on to the conversation, I came across a post experiencing a similar issue that may be of help explaining this as well. Here is a link to that post. I hope that it is helpful!

Im not sure if that would be much help, they’re mostly discussing programming and some kind of game save function. Ill try the Windows Virtual Memory fix tho

The virtual memory fix didn’t seem to have any effect. Is this a problem with my computer? Or is this an issue with ue5 and will it be fixed because it makes doing anything extremely difficult when it freezes every few minutes doing anything.
