Guys apologies since I know this has been asked many times (believe me, i’ve spent the last 2 days researching) but is there really no solution to record VR in fullscreen using ue4? I mean, this is crazy! It should be so simple!
There’s a video on youtube people keep referring to, regarding downloading the source code via github…unfortunately the link and area where this is stored on github brings up an error404
changing the engine.ini file windowmode from 1 to 2 basically seems to bring up either one eye, or a stereoscopic view showing 2 round circles for each eye.
I am yet to find an effective solution to show vr footage at 1920x1080, full screen for nice video capture. I can’t believe that it seems to be this difficult? How do the pros do it when you see their marketing videos etc?
Any help, any help at all, would be truly appreciated!
comment above this video “All you need to just place sources of SteamVR plugin in /Plugins folder and tweak it there. Also you need to make it compile - its not so hard, but its better than recompile whole engine.”
how do you make it compile? i’ve followed the steps in that video countless times. but it doesn’t work since the links on github to download this source code are broken.
YuriNK, As usual I set fullscreen with VR like it was written here: UE4 + HTC Vive Fullscreen VR Tutorial - YouTube
You say that this feature was added in 4.17. Is this feature relate to spectotor screen or something else? Cause I tried to do this with spectator screen , so it make just capture texture whithout any postprocess and etc. (maybe i do somthing wrong?). Or is it another , more simple method to do fullscreen? Documentation, tutorials ? thanks
