UE4.7. Clipping? Collision? Invisible parts of a plane?

Hi all,

Haven’t mapped since the old valve hammer editor of half life1… so forgive me if it is my method of building that is causing this issue…

I’m having an issue whereby parts of planes of box brushes (as well as spiral staircases) seem to become transparent for no obvious reason. When looking at the orthographic views everything appears to be lined up nicely with no overlaps and I’ve used the alight brush vertices button to ensure that the locations are nice and neat… (in some cases the brushes do not even need to be in-contact for this to occur).

The only thing that seems to have an effect on this is changing the solidity of either the object with the visual problem or the object that is nearby that could be causing the problem.

Should I be converting the box and staircase brushes into something else or is there something I’m overlooking?
