Hi everyone, I’m having trouble rendering a sequence on UE5.
I’m on a Macbook Pro M1 Pro, 10-core CPU, 8-core GPU. Not the best machine but it’s what I have.
I’m not doing anything too complex. I have medium quality lighting. Trying to get a Prores 422 1080p video, so not the highest quality. Actually, I’m able to render quite fast about 15 seconds of footage. Any attempt beyond that, even if I lower the resolution, gets “stuck” at 100%.
Render loads fine, goes fast until 100% of frames, and then UE becomes unresponsive. I’ve waited for 2 hours to see if it solves itself, but no changes. I’ve restarted everything and tried several times and the issue persists. Only option is to force-quit UE.
I’m attaching screenshots of my render specs. Also some of my activity monitor once it gets stuck. I suspect I’m overloading my Mac, but honestly I only have chrome with 1 tab open haha. If anyone on Mac has found this issue, let me know if there are any changes that could improve. Or am I just finding the limits of my Mac?
It shows UE5 uses 4,3% of the CPU once it’s stuck, but while it’s rendering it’s actually about 66,7%
