UE 5.7.1 fails to render fractures, works fine in sequencer. Regression?

Fracture is failing to render in UE 5.7.1 using Chaos Cache Manager. It works fine in the sequencer without problems, but renders either a slight crack with no shattering or no fracture at all, even though the sequencer shows the full shattering.

When you go into PIE is the cache red in sequencer?

No, it remains an olive green color.

After trying to re-render this several times (over 20), I got one semi-successful fracture rendered. The shatter happened at frame 1, but I had the fracture starting at frame 87. In the sequencer, the fracture initialized at frame 87 like normal, but initializes at frame 1 only when rendering. There are no changes to my settings, I just get inconsistent results when rendering.

So its still not usable, but I can just screen record the sequencer play to get a usable clip instead of rendering it.

Are you able to migrate out and share that content?

Do I migrate the entire project, or just certain files? I have not migrated files to another person, I’m guessing I migrate to a separate folder and send it to you.

I think I should bring this up in this thread just for the possibility this is a related problem with rendering, in 5.7.1, the morph targets inconsistently do not clear back to 0.0, especially in rendering. Like my characters close eyes and value 1.0, then open the eyes to value 0.0, but they often render like they are partially closed like about value 0.5.

I can put that on a different thread if needed, I just wanted to bring it up in case that might point to the problem.

If the entire project is not that big, that’s fine. Otherwise, just migrate into an empty project.

As for the morph targets, I would make a new thread. But this only happens in the render? And only happens in 5.7, not in 5.6?

I migrated the level and the affected level sequence to a new project that is about 93 MB (my original project was 58 GB). Where do I send that file? I did have to add another fracture and chaos cache manager to a mesh next to the original one since the original one stopped fracturing, just rolled around in PIE and sequencer play. The extra chaos cache manager acts the same as the video I posted.

As for the morph targets, I will make a new thread after I create a video to show what is going on. For now, it worked fine in 5.6. In 5.7, the renders have the worst results. Inconsistent clearing back to 0.0 is visible in the sequencer, and in the skeletal mesh editor when I move the slider to 1.0, and then check the box next to it that brings it back to 0, the appearance of value 1.0 shows on the character even though is shows 0.0 in the morph target section.
