UE 5.5 Simulate physics causes the charecter to simulate in mid air as if there is floor up there!

In 5.3 my object was perfectly fine it simulates physics on the floor like any object.

Migrating to 5.5 now the objects think the floor is 1 meter higher than it actually is I am losing my mind.

Does anyone know how to tame UE 5.5 so physics can physics again?

Help…

All Settings are identical exactly between 2 engine versions, unless they added a new setting that I don’t know.

The lines don’t seem to have any effect on my end sadly.

Mine still fly’s when you simulate :frowning:

The Issue is solved!

Its a new “Bad interaction” between autodesk maya group names and UE5.

If your object center is not where your root bone is, UE now detects the group where you put your bones as an actual bone in your object.

Just click settings then show all bones.

Then right click what was supposed to be your group name… and add a body to it!

And done.

Why is my group name a bone now?
no clue!

should it be a bone?
nope!

But the issue is fixed.
